Put-in-Bay, OH

We went to Put-in-Bay together two years ago, and were happy we made it back this year. We arrived at the Miller's Ferry dock in Catawba on Monday just afternoon and were on the island by around 1 pm. That gave us plenty of time to get lunch, take a dip in a pool, and visit some of our favorite bars.

Toad was looking forward to getting some fresh perch and walleye, but the Fish Shack on the Boardwalk was closed that day. We made due with some tasty burgers and cold drinks before making our way to dip in a pool to cool off. It was another HOT day, and the pool and a cold drink was the best relief.

The island was busy getting ready for Bash at the Bay that was happening the last half of the week, so some places were closed or closing early to give their staff some hours to themselves before the madness. We took a walk down the the monument and took a look around. I hadn't been there before, so I took the opportunity to check it out. You can pay $10 to go in and take an elevator to the top, but we decided not to.

We really love going on a weekday to beat the weekend crowds. They still have live music playing in most places and the vibe is really low key. Like our last visit, it did not disappoint, and we are looking forward to coming back!

We hope you enjoy! The adventure continues...
